In this policy forum, we'll hear from national experts about the tactics the industry uses to polish its image, spread its viewpoint, and undermine confidence in public health officials. We'll also hear from local and state officials and advocates who have experienced the tobacco industry's efforts to derail public health policy first-hand.

Read about our speakers and read the agenda!

Tobacco companies use sponsorships, donations, ads, and paid media to promote their agenda and to try to change their image. Recently, we've seen an increase in tobacco companies' use of sponsored content and other paid media, which gives the companies the chance to spread their messages without the burden of fact. At the same time it works to polish its image, the tobacco industry uses lobbyists, lawyers, and disinformation campaigns to try to weaken tobacco laws. These efforts have real impact on public policy at the state and local level.

Join us to learn about this growing threat and how people are fighting it on the local, state, and national level.

This year's policy forum will be virtual, on Zoom.  Register now!
